Chrysler Collision Repair in Bradenton, FL

Collision repair for Chrysler Pacifica, Voyager and 300 owners in Bradenton, with an on-site Mopar parts department and careful sliding-door and liftgate work.

The Chrysler Pacifica might be the most practical vehicle in Manatee County: school drop-off in West Bradenton, a Costco run on Cortez Road, a beach day on Anna Maria Island with a cargo area full of chairs. When it gets dented or crunched, the whole household feels it. Firkins Collision Center is a Chrysler body shop in Bradenton, located on the same property as Firkins Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram & Mitsubishi at 2700 1st St, with an on-site Mopar parts department.

Chrysler Models We Repair

  • Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid: the family minivan, including plug-in hybrid models
  • Voyager: the value-focused minivan based on the Pacifica
  • Grand Caravan (Chrysler-badged in some years) and the earlier Town & Country
  • Chrysler 300: the full-size rear-wheel-drive sedan, built through the 2023 model year
  • Chrysler 200: still common on local roads

Every vehicle goes through our seven-step repair process, with a teardown inspection and progress updates throughout.

How the Pacifica Is Built

The Pacifica that arrived for 2017 was engineered to be much lighter than the minivans it replaced, and it uses a mix of materials that matter during collision repair.

Aluminum Sliding Doors

The large sliding doors are made from aluminum sheet. Aluminum is light and strong, but it reacts differently than steel when it's dented. It has less "memory," it needs dedicated tools to avoid steel contamination that can cause corrosion, and some damage calls for replacement. Power sliding doors also depend on tracks, rollers, cables, latches and wiring that all need to line up again after a side impact.

Magnesium and Aluminum Liftgate

The Pacifica's liftgate uses a magnesium inner structure with aluminum outer panels. That combination is not something you'd treat like an old steel hatch. A rear-end hit can involve the liftgate, the power liftgate struts and motor, the backup camera and the rear bumper sensors all at once. See rear-end collision repair.

Hot-Stamped Steel Safety Cage

The door ring and B-pillar are made from hot-stamped, ultra-high-strength steel joined in a laser-welded assembly. This is the structure that protects your family in a side impact. Ultra-high-strength steel can't be straightened or heated like mild steel, and manufacturer procedures dictate how and where it can be repaired or replaced. Our frame straightening work uses computer-assisted measuring to verify the structure returns to factory dimensions.

Chrysler 300: Big Sedan, Big Panels

The 300 is a large rear-wheel-drive sedan with long, flat panels where any waviness shows up immediately. Front-end hits can reach the cooling system and front sensors, and AWD models add components underneath. Long panels also make paint blending important, so the color matches from front fender to rear door.

Safety Systems on Today's Chryslers

Depending on year and trim, your Chrysler may have:

  • Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking (front radar and windshield camera)
  • Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go
  • Lane departure warning and lane keep assist
  • Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection
  • Front and rear park assist and a surround-view camera

These systems depend on sensors mounted in bumpers, grilles, mirrors and the windshield. After a collision, ask your estimator how your Chrysler's systems will be verified. Read ADAS sensors after a collision to learn more.

Pacifica Hybrid Considerations

The Pacifica Hybrid carries a high-voltage battery and electrical system. Collision repair on hybrids involves extra safety steps, and some repairs, such as heat used in paint curing or welding near high-voltage components, have to be planned accordingly. We repair all makes and models, and your estimator can explain how your hybrid will be handled.

Mopar Parts From Our On-Site Department

Minivans and sedans have a long list of trim-specific parts: sliding-door handles, mirrors with turn signals and cameras, liftgate trim, and sensor brackets. Firkins is a Chrysler dealership with an on-site Mopar parts department, and we use OEM parts whenever possible. Learn more in OEM vs. aftermarket parts.

Keeping the Family Moving During Repairs

Losing the family van is a big disruption. Firkins offers free loaner vehicles or help arranging a rental, complimentary pickup and delivery, and a shuttle service. Learn about loaner and rental cars and how rental coverage during repairs works with insurance.

Common Minivan Damage We See

Minivans live in parking lots, school pickup lines and driveways, so the damage patterns are predictable: sliding doors scraped by a neighboring car, rear bumpers backed into posts, and front corners clipped in tight turns. Many of these are quick fixes, and some, like small dings on a sliding door, may suit paintless dent repair. A full inspection makes sure sensors and door mechanisms work correctly before you get the keys back.

Frequently asked questions

Are Chrysler Pacifica sliding doors aluminum?

Yes. The Pacifica introduced for 2017 uses aluminum sliding doors, and its liftgate uses a magnesium inner with aluminum outer panels. These materials need dedicated tools and handling, and some damage is better addressed by replacement than repair.

My Pacifica sliding door won't close right after a minor hit. Can you fix it?

Usually. Power sliding doors depend on precise alignment of the track, rollers, latch and wiring. Even a light side impact can throw them off. We inspect the door and its mechanism and restore proper fit and operation.

Do you work on Pacifica Hybrid minivans?

We repair all makes and models, including hybrids. High-voltage vehicles have specific safety steps during repair, and your estimator can explain how your vehicle will be handled.

Do you use Mopar parts on Chrysler repairs?

Firkins Collision Center is on-site with Firkins Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Mitsubishi, which has a Mopar parts department. We use OEM parts whenever possible.

Should my minivan's safety sensors be checked after the repair?

Yes, it's a good idea. Pacificas commonly have front radar, a windshield camera, blind-spot radar and parking sensors. Ask your estimator how your van's systems will be verified after repairs.
