Auto Body & Collision Repair for Lakewood Ranch Drivers
Lakewood Ranch auto body repair with complimentary pickup and delivery, free loaners and a lifetime warranty, just west of I-75 in Bradenton.
Lakewood Ranch has grown into one of the largest master-planned communities in the country, and its roads have grown with it. New villages keep opening east of Lorraine Road, school traffic is heavier every year, and I-75 interchanges at University Parkway, SR-70 and SR-64 back up at rush hour. When a fender bender happens on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard or a roundabout tap turns into a crumpled bumper, Firkins Collision Center is ready to help — and we can come to you.
We're at 2700 1st St in Bradenton, west of I-75. That's a drive for most Lakewood Ranch residents, which is exactly why we offer complimentary pickup and delivery, free loaner vehicles and a shuttle service. You get a full-size collision center with frame machines, a dedicated paint booth and I-CAR- and ASE-certified technicians without spending your afternoon in traffic.
Lakewood Ranch Roads and Common Crash Spots
Roundabouts everywhere
Lakewood Ranch uses roundabouts on many of its internal roads, including stretches of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, Lorraine Road and roads around Waterside and the newer northern villages. Roundabouts generally reduce severe crashes, but they produce a steady stream of low-speed sideswipes and corner taps when drivers hesitate or don't yield. That's typical fender bender territory.
I-75 interchanges
The interchanges at University Parkway (Exit 213), SR-70 (Exit 217) and SR-64 (Exit 220) are the main gateways in and out of the community. Rush-hour backups on the ramps and heavy merging near University Town Center lead to rear-end collisions, especially in the southbound afternoon flow.
SR-70 and SR-64 corridors
SR-70 east of I-75 has filled in with shopping, schools and new neighborhoods, and SR-64 continues to grow toward the eastern villages. Both carry a mix of commuters, construction trucks and, farther east, slower rural traffic. Gravel and debris from construction zones can chip paint and windshields; our scratch repair team can address paint damage before it spreads.
Seasonal traffic and events
Season brings extra traffic to Main Street, the Lakewood Ranch Town Center and University Town Center, and weekend events and sports tournaments fill parking lots. Tight parking means door dings and scraped bumpers, which are often good candidates for paintless dent repair.
Summer storms and hail
Afternoon thunderstorms roll across eastern Manatee County most summer days. Occasional hail and fallen limbs can leave dents across hoods and roofs. If that happens, see our hail damage repair page.

Advanced Safety Systems
Newer vehicles in Lakewood Ranch driveways often carry radar cruise control, lane-keeping cameras, blind-spot monitors and parking sensors. Even a minor roundabout bump can affect them. After a collision these systems may need to be checked or recalibrated, so ask your estimator how your vehicle's systems will be verified. Read more in our article on ADAS sensors after a collision.
Insurance and Your Right to Choose
Your insurer may recommend a shop closer to home, but in Florida you generally get to choose who repairs your vehicle. Read about your right to choose a body shop, then let us handle the paperwork with your adjuster.
